Within the U.S., the Department of Transportation mandates training requirements for any organization that performs any function regulated by the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR). Each hazmat employer is responsible for determining what training may be needed for hazmat employees. This rule applies to any business, regardless of size.

Yes. Individual users can enroll directly into the appropriate Dangerous Goods (Hazmat) course. A free Academy account and credit card payment are required.

Yes. If your organization has a dedicated WiseTech Academy Corporate Portal, your training administrator can enroll you in the required courses. Individual users do not need to pay by credit card, as training charges are invoiced directly to the organization.

WiseTech Academy U.S. Hazmat course certificates comply with the Hazardous Materials Regulations (§§ 172.701 to 172.704) requirements.

For domestic transport, general awareness, security, and emergency response training, your certificate is generally valid for 36 months.

For IATA DGR training, your certificate is valid for 24 months.

For sea freight training, your certificate is valid for the duration of the current edition of the IMDG Code.
