IMDG Code access
Access to the current IMDG Code is required to complete the course learning and assessments, and can be purchased through DG Air Training Centre with options for:
These options support both course completion and ongoing operational use.
Access to the IMDG code publication is via the Witherby Connect website:
- Users purchase the appropriate IMDG code from the DG Air Training Centre website
- Payment is by credit card at the time of purchase
- DG Air Training Centre issues the purchaser with a Witherby Connect username and password via email
- 7-day and 14-day access begins from the date the Witherby Connect email is issued
- Access is available on multiple devices, but only one active session is allowed at a time. Logging in on a new device will sign out any existing session
Understanding IMDG certification validity
IMDG certification validity is based on the applicable IMDG Code amendment cycle.
The current IMDG Code Amendment 42-24 may be used from 1 January 2025 and becomes mandatory from 1 January 2026. Personnel trained under Amendment 42-24 remain current through to 31 December 2027.
To maintain compliance, learners should complete updated training before the amendment under which they were trained expires.

Audit and record management
Maintaining accurate training records is an important part of dangerous goods compliance. Training managers and administrators must be able to demonstrate that personnel have completed the appropriate training and remain current with organizational requirements.

Certificates
Upon completion of an IMDG Dangerous Goods course, a WiseTech Academy completion certificate is immediately available. Each course certificate shows the level of competence achieved as required by Chapter 1.3 of the IMDG Code and 49 CFR Subpart H, and completion and expiry dates.

Our courses are aligned with the International Maritime Organization's (IMO) International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code and include relevant U.S. 49 CFR requirements.
All users receive a WiseTech Academy completion certificate upon completion of their IMDG Code courses. Academy certificates can be used to support internal training records, compliance management, and audit requirements.

Training is charged per enrollment (per user, per course). Organizations manage enrollments through their WiseTech Academy Corporate Portal, with training charges consolidated and invoiced to your organization monthly.
